Modify your GSI espresso maker
 
Device details:
stove top espresso maker with super booty tube
14.2 oz., down from stock weight of 15.2oz.
according to the Dali Lama: “makes super kick-ass coffee”.

The materials I used:
From McMaster-Carr:
1) part# 51845K26; 
12” of 500° F, high purity silicone rubber tubing, non-braided, 3/16" Id, 3/8" Od, 3/32" Wall.
2) part# 5117K89;
tube to pipe adapter, 275° F, polycarbonate single-barbed tube fitting, barbed X NPT Male, for 3/16" Tube ID, 1/16" NPT. Only one piece is required, but are sold in packs of ten.
3) part# 5117K45;
coupling, 275° F polycarbonate single-barbed tube fitting, for 3/16" tube ID. Only one piece is required, but are sold in packs of ten.

From other sources, but can be found at REI:
4) GSI espresso maker, aluminum, 10.5 ounce model. 
5) Bodhisattva mug This seemingly common insulated 12 oz. mug kicks ass.

Then:
6) delicious JohnnyZu™ coffee.
Tools:
1) 17/64” drill bit
2) 5/16” plug, or intermediate, tap
3) sundry power tools or files and sandpaper to smooth out your work of art.
4) Gloves and safety glasses. Yeah, I really DO use these. I swear one of these days you’ll poke your eye out if you don’t.
